Kingfisher Room
kingbed.JPG (38907 bytes) This is a ground level room with a good size deck where you can sit and admire the view on a warm day.  When it's cold, you may prefer to curl up by the fire, or share a whirlpool bath.

The queen size bed in the background of this picture is up a couple of steps from the living area, and the bathroom with shower is just beyond it.  There's lots of roomy space for you to relax and enjoy.

kingwin.JPG (31922 bytes) You may well see the Belted Kingfisher perched in the arbutus tree that overhangs the ocean just outside your room.  He sits there patiently poised, scanning for fish and preparing for a sudden headlong plunge. He is a year-round resident and his distinctive rattling cry is often the first sign of his presence.

If you see him eyeing the goldfish in our garden pond, hurl imprecations or other sharp objects in his direction.
